SillyTavern gives you more extensions and tools to tinker with. If you enjoy that level of customization, or already rely on a particular extension, it may suit you better.

Why try Museris?
An app you can install
Download Museris, install it, and open it like any other app. There are no terminal commands to run to get the app working. SillyTavern’s standard setup involves installing extra software and entering terminal commands. It runs through a server that you open in your browser.
Less time finding settings
A good roleplay app should make it easy to get into a story and change things when you need to. Museris keeps related settings together, so you can see how your prompt is built and adjust it in one place. SillyTavern offers detailed controls across several views. Museris takes a more focused approach, with a consistent layout that’s easier to find your way around.
A whole cast in one conversation
Add several characters to a scene and let the AI decide who speaks next. You can play as any character in your library too. Pick your role and let the rest of the cast respond to you and each other.
Room to shape the story
Build characters, add lorebooks with details about your world, and tell the AI how you want the story to unfold. You can edit the prompts and how they’re put together when you want more control.
When SillyTavern fits better
SillyTavern is a good choice if you enjoy tinkering. Its extensions add features like voice and image generation, and its scripting tools let you customize how it works.
If a particular extension is central to your roleplay, that’s a good reason to keep using SillyTavern. If you rely on a particular service or extension, check how it fits your Museris setup before switching.

Local stories. Your choice of AI.
Museris saves your characters and conversations on your device. Use any AI provider, or run a model on your own computer.
The model makes a big difference to the feel of a story. Try playful dialogue, richer descriptions, or a slower, more intimate pace. Experiment with the same cast and opening scene until you find the writing you love. Switch your AI whenever you want; your library stays with you.
To use your own computer for AI, you’ll need to set up a model server separately and connect Museris to it. You can also connect the Android app to that server.
SillyTavern also lets you use online services or your own computer. With either app, an online AI service receives the character details and conversation it needs to write a reply.
